Requirements

• Qualification in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations, or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant experience in HR and payroll administration.
• Practical experience with PaySpace would be highly advantageous.
• Good knowledge of South African labour legislation and payroll administration.
• Knowledge of PAYE, UIF, employee tax requirements, and COIDA/Compensation Fund matters.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of professional ethics and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience in a professional services firm or accounting practice would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage client payroll using PaySpace.
• Administer employee tax obligations, including EMP201 returns, EMP501 reconciliations, and IRP5 certificates.
• Manage UIF and other statutory registrations, amendments, and obligations.
• Handle COIDA and Compensation Fund matters for clients.
• Provide payroll advice and support to clients.
• Manage the complete HR function for internal staff.
• Draft and maintain employment contracts and employee records.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and termination processes.
• Support management with staff-related matters.
• Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, and other labour-relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour legislation.
• Promote positive employee relations and support staff wellbeing.
• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee and client information.
