Job Title: HR and Housing Administrator Start Date: 2026-07-29 - 2026-10-31 Vacancy Type: Contractor WDH002469 Sectors: Admin, Office & Support Human Resources Location: Northern Cape , Kalahari Salary: R 12000 - R 15000 Monthly Cost To Company Brief: A private game reserve in the southern Kalahari is seeking an organised and people-focused HR AND HOUSING ADMINISTRATOR to join their team Detail: This is a hands-on HR role suited to someone who is equally comfortable maintaining personnel records and databases as they are walking the reserve's staff villages on inspection. You'll need to be a details person who can juggle admin, industrial relations support, and staff housing coordination in a remote, close-knit environment. Core Criteria: Grade 12 required; a Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources is advantageous Valid driver's licence essential Sound knowledge of HR and IR principles, processes and procedures Working understanding of company policy, labour agreements and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and administrative ability Strong planning, organisational and time management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Results-driven, persistent and emotionally intelligent Able to manage a high-volume workload under pressure Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Core Responsibilities: Maintain personnel records and related HR databases, including employment equity, skills development and staff housing allocation Coordinate with heads of department on employment contracts Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures as updated by management Sit in as an observer at disciplinary hearings to ensure compliance with the LRA and company procedure Assist with disciplinary processes and staff grievances Advise management on policy and procedure where needed Coordinate training schedules and manage all related administration, including attendance registers and skills matrices Arrange training provider accommodation when required Assist with gathering information for the Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report Coordinate Employment Equity administration and assist with EE Report submission Keep committee files up to date Coordinate staff housing, including quarterly village inspections and move-in/move-out inspections Manage the time and attendance system, including enrolling and terminating employees and sending weekly reports to line managers Coordinate recreational activities on the reserve and arrange transport when needed Support other departments as required and assist with vehicle refuelling per roster Serve on committees as required by the company or by law On Offer: Six-month fixed-term, live-in contract Single accommodation provided for the duration of the contract Meals not provided R12- 15kpm Staff flights between Johannesburg and Cape Town Remote reserve environment, shift work including weekends and public holidays show more...
