Description

  • NACOSA is looking for an HR Administrator to provide a comprehensive human resources administrative service to all staff and the HR Team in the SEF programme, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures while creating a welcoming and positive employee experience.
  • You'll be an integral part of the HR function, supporting all areas including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management HR compliance and specific programme deliverables.

The duties and responsibilities of the HR Administrator will include, but not limited to:

  • Contribute to HR strategy aligned with NACOSA's Strategic Plan, promote organisational values, and provide HR advice.
  • Maintain and manage personnel records contracts, leave, training, update participant trackers, verify timesheets and biometric data, and prepare weekly M&E reports.
  • Support recruitment across 24 CBOs 1075 participants: manage attrition, coordinate assessments, compile and verify contracts, communicate approvals, and oversee onboarding logistics.
  • Act as first point of contact for HR enquiries, manage IR matters misconduct, investigations, hearings, liaise with labour consultants, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, conduct exit interviews, and compile monthly exit reports.
  • Participate in CBO, PMU, and programme meetings, providing updates on recruitment, payroll, biometrics, and attrition.
  • Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly HR reports EE stats, IR cases, ICAS, payroll discrepancies, recruitment gaps.
  • Promote and support employee wellness initiatives.
  • Handle general HR administration, queries, audits, filing, and document management.
  • Support payroll processing capturing hours, verifying data, tracking backpay.

Requirements

  • Relevant Diploma N6 from a recognised TVET College.
  • Proficiency in English; any other official African language advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years' HR Generalist experience, with required exposure to NGO-related employment programmes.
  • Experience in social employment programmes preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of labour legislation BCEA, EEA, SDA, SLA, OHSA, etc..

Personal Competencies

  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAGE 300 People Payroll, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent planning, organising, and attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving capability with sound interpersonal skills.
