Job Title: HR Administrator Start Date: 2026-08-04 - 2026-09-03 Vacancy Type: Permanent PE006749 Sectors: Clean Technology Environmental Service Water Engineering Water Solution Location: Cape Town , Blackheath Salary: (Market related) Brief: compliance|hr admin|hr projects|ir|payroll|recruitment|training Our client in the Water Solutions Industry is looking for an HR Administrator to join their team in Cape Town, Blackheath Skills compliance hr admin hr projects ir payroll recruitment training Detail: Core Duties and Responsibilities: Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate recruitment activities, including drafting vacancy advertisements, screening applications and scheduling interviews. Prepare employment offers, employment contracts and onboarding documentation. Conduct employee inductions and ensure all new employee documentation is completed and filed. Maintain recruitment records and candidate databases. HR Administration Maintain accurate employee records in both electronic and hard copy formats. Prepare HR correspondence, confirmation letters, contract amendments and employment-related documentation. Administer probation reviews, contract renewals and employee status changes. Ensure employee files remain complete, confidential and compliant with company standards. Payroll Administration Prepare monthly payroll input, including leave, overtime, allowances, deductions and employee changes. Liaise with Management regarding employee appointments, terminations and salary amendments. Assist with payroll reconciliations and employee payroll queries. Maintain payroll records in accordance with statutory requirements. Employee Relations Assist with disciplinary hearings, grievance procedures and incapacity processes. Prepare disciplinary documentation and meeting packs. Record minutes during disciplinary hearings and employee consultations. Ensure compliance with company disciplinary procedures and labour legislation. Training & Development Coordinate employee training, skills development and mandatory compliance training. Maintain the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP), Annual Training Report (ATR) and training records where required. Liaise with training providers and coordinate training logistics. Compliance & HR Projects Assist with Employment Equity administration and reporting. Support B-BBEE initiatives relating to Human Resources. Ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, POPIA and other applicable legislation. Assist with HR audits, ISO quality management documentation and policy implementation. Participate in HR improvement projects and process optimisation initiatives. Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by Management. Minimum Requirements: Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or related field. Valid South African driver's licence. HR or Payroll certification will be advantageous Willingness and ability to travel to company sites and branches as required. Experience: Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a Human Resources Administration role. Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, construction or industrial environments will be advantageous. Previous payroll administration experience. Experience with PaySpace Payroll or similar payroll systems will be advantageous. Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint). Knowledge: South African Labour Legislation. Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA). Labour Relations Act (LRA). Employment Equity Act (EEA). Skills Development Act. Occupational Health and Safety Act. POPIA requirements. HR best practices and payroll administration. Skills and Competencies: Excellent organisational and administrative skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional and confidential approach to sensitive information. Strong planning and time management abilities. Excellent report writing and documentation skills. Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
