Our mining client is seeking a dynamic, professional, and highly organised Human Resources Administrator to join our team at Head Office in Centurion. This role is ideal for an HR professional who is passionate about employee engagement, skills development, HR administration and internal communications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to
Human Resources Administration
- Assist with the updating and maintenance of the organisational structure
- Assist in reviewing, updating and drafting HR policies and procedures
- Conduct onboarding administration and ensure all required documentation is received and filed
- Conduct pre-employment screening, including:
- LexisNexis checks
- Reference checks
- Manage leave administration on Sage 300, ESS and SAP
Skills Development and Compliance
- Coordinate and arrange Adult Education and Training (AET) programmes
- Upload learners and training information onto relevant systems
- Manage training grants and related administration
- Liaise and communicate with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA)
Employee Engagement and Transformation
- Coordinate Women in Mining initiatives
- Plan and facilitate employee wellness days across operational sites
- Drive Gender-Based Violence awareness campaigns
- Coordinate Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives and community engagement projects
Internal Communications and Branding
- Manage and update company website content
- Maintain and update the company's LinkedIn and other social media platforms
- Compile and distribute internal newsletters
- Coordinate internal communications across all sites and Head Office
- Support employer branding and employee engagement initiatives
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- HR Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management or related field
- 3 to 5 years' relevant Human Resources experience
- Must be highly proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to communicate effectively in Afrikaans, Sepedi, Setswana and isiZulu will be a distinct advantage
- Experience in the mining industry will be advantageous
- Proficient in:
- Sage 300 People
- SAP
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Canva
- Excellent social media and digital communication skills
- Valid driver's licence and own transport essential
- Willing to travel to sites in Limpopo and North-West on a regular basis
