Introduction

Our Supply Chain division in Durban is looking for a HR & Admin Manager who has strong interpersonal skills and with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization. Be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality. The desired candidate must have exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Must be self-motivated, results-driven and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision and be able to travel between offices as and when required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Recruitment and Staffing

  • Facilitate the recruitment and selection process within the company in conjunction with the relevant line managers.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates as well as mainatain a talent pool for key and critical roles within the business.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Manage the Recruitment and Selection process from start to end that includes advertising vacancies, shortlisting applicants, setting up interviews, conducting verification checks ,management of regrets to unsuccessful candidates, offer stage and drafting of LOA’s.

Employee Relations

  • Assist and resolve employee conflicts.
  • Address employee grievances and concerns.
  • Represent company at CCMA as and when required.

Performance Management

  • Implement and maintain performance management process within the company.
  • Assist managers to manage non performing employees.
  • Work with managers to have KPI’s in place for all employees.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs within the company.
  • Coordinate and organize training programs.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities for employees.
  • Manage intake of learners and sourcing of learners from Tertiary institutes.

HR Policies and Compliance

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Handle employee disciplinary issues in accordance with company policies.

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefit programs (healthcare, retirement plans, etc.)
  • Communicate and educate employees about their benefits.

Compensation Management

  • Manage and maintain salary brackets for the different levels within the company.
  • Keep abreast of salary surveys to ensure company salary is market related.
  • Processing of monthly payroll for all staff.
  • End to end payroll function including processing of 3 rd party payments.

HR Information Systems and Administration

  • Manage HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other relevant software.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Carry out day to day HR functions.
  • To accurately and timeously file and keep record of all resourcing documentation and accurately track resourcing activities for management reporting.

Talent Management

  • Identify and nurture talent within the organization.
  • Ensure Succession planning and career development process are in place and being followed.

Statutory Compliance

  • Stay informed about changes in labour laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant employment laws.

Employee Engagement

  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
  • Foster a positive company culture, work environment and employee morale.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with senior management on HR strategy.
  • Align HR practices with the company goals and strategies.

Administration Management

  • Plan and organise events, visitors and any other administrative requirements needed by the company.
  • Manage office lease and liaise with property management for office related issues within the building.
  • Management of Office Administraion for all regions.
  • Managing office supplies.
  • Managing various vendors and service suppliers.
  • Manage Travel and Accomodation for Directors

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum 10 years HR Generalist experience of which at least 5 years has been in a Managerial role
  • Worked in a Supply Chain/Logistics Industry with strong Warehouse experience
  • HR related Degree/Diploma.
  • Knowledge and experience working on SAGE.
  • Knowledge and experience working on PNET or similar ATS.
  • Sound knowledge of SA Labour Law Legislation and Statutory Compliance.
  • Own car and able to travel to Umhlanga/Bayhead.

Package & Remuneration

Market Related.
