Hotel Receptionist - Tzaneen Limpopo

We are seeking a Hotel Receptionist to join our team at our beautiful Coach House Hotel, just outside Tzaneen in Limpopo. In this customer-facing role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and providing top-notch service throughout their stay. This position emphasizes excellent communication and organizational skills in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome to ensure a positive first impression. • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently while processing reservations and confirming guest details. • Handling guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and courteously. • Maintaining accurate guest records and manage billing and payment procedures as per hotel policy. • Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for incoming guests. • Informing guests about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to enhance their experience. • Processing phone and email reservations while maintaining a high level of accuracy. • Upholding hotel policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security. Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Certificate or diploma in hospitality management or a related field will be advantegous.
• Proven experience in a front desk or customer service role within the hospitality sector.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Demonstrable ability to handle payment processing and billing accurately.
• Familiarity with hotel management software (PMS) system and reservation systems is preferred (Protel, Opera or similar software system).
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
• Experience with handling guest complaints and providing service recovery
• Knowledge of the local area, including attractions and dining options, to assist guests effectively.
