- Are you an entrepreneurial, high-energy hospitality executive ready to lead a world-class Cape Winelands destination? Our client is an acclaimed, multi-faceted lifestyle estate combining luxury accommodation, award-winning dining, vibrant cellar door experiences, and modern leisure facilities. We are seeking a visionary, hands-on General Manager to serve as the custodian of operational excellence, brand prestige, and commercial growth across the entire estate.
- This is not a traditional desk job—it is a dynamic, high-impact role where luxury hospitality meets commercial strategy and modern lifestyle culture. You won't just manage operations; you will shape the strategic direction and culture of a leading Winelands destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations across all hospitality units to ensure flawless service standards and brand integrity.
- Drive footfall, occupancy, and direct sales by leveraging tourism trade relationships, digital marketing initiatives, brand partnerships, and promotional campaigns.
- Manage profit and loss across all outlets, establishing pricing strategies, optimising covers/occupancy, and controlling operational costs to hit commercial growth targets.
- Inspiring team leadership
- Provide strategic leadership on estate enhancements, new revenue concepts, and future guest experience developments.
Requirements
- A qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or Food & Beverage/Events Management.
- 10+ years in hospitality operations, with at least 5 years in an Executive GM, Operations Director, or Senior Leadership role overseeing multi-unit or estate-style environments.
- A solid background in sales and marketing within luxury hospitality, wine tourism, or destination-based leisure businesses is essential.
- Experience managing P&L, multi-departmental revenue streams, and high-volume food, beverage, and accommodation operations.
