- Faircape Health is extending our subacute care and rehabilitation services to Heritage Manor , our long-term healthcare centre situated in Somerset West. We provide exceptional care for patients requiring short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, dementia care, respite care and palliative care within a secure, supportive and nurturing environment.
- Our world-class healthcare services bridge the gap between hospital and home. Through our highly collaborative Multidisciplinary Team MDT of doctors, nurses, therapists, pharmacists and healthcare professionals, we are committed to delivering exceptional clinical outcomes and patient-centred care.
- We are looking for an organised, professional and customer-focused Healthcare Receptionist to join our team at Heritage Manor on a permanent basis.

Duties will include, but not be limited to
- Welcome and greet all patients, visitors and contractors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct telephone calls promptly, efficiently and courteously.
- Receive and relay messages accurately via written, verbal and electronic communication.
- Receive, stamp and distribute incoming mail daily.
- Ensure professional communication throughout the healthcare facility.
- Monitor diaries for appointments, messages and instructions, ensuring information is communicated to the relevant departments.
- Prepare starter packs for new employees and assist with fingerprint registration where applicable.
- Perform reception and administrative duties to ensure the efficient operation of the reception area.
- Attend to deliveries, maintenance contractors and service providers entering the facility.
- Assist with patient billing and charge sheets.
- Collect patient payments upon discharge where applicable.
- Support the administration team with general administrative duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar receptionist or administrative role.
- Experience within a hospital, healthcare or medical environment will be advantageous.
- A relevant administration qualification will be advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge
- Computer literate Google Workspace experience advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service orientated.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Professional, well presented and approachable.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently as well as within a team.
