Job Description

  • Are you an accomplished accounting professional with a passion for financial leadership, governance, and strategic decision-making? Our client is seeking a highly experienced Head of Accounting to lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and sound financial governance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely statutory reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of company and group consolidated annual financial statements.
  • Manage inventory accounting, costing, management accounting integrity, and accounts payable.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, group accounting standards, and all relevant financial regulations.
  • Oversee APDP, Production Incentive PI, EUR1, and Automotive Investment Scheme AIS accounting and claims.
  • Build strong relationships with auditors, government stakeholders, and group finance teams while providing strategic financial leadership.

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant CASA or BCom Accounting Honours with completed articles.
  • 5–7 years' experience in a financial accounting environment with strong financial reporting exposure.
  • Experience within complex audit, regulatory, or reporting environments will be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • High levels of integrity, commercial acumen, and sound business judgement.
