This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional to join a world-class automotive manufacturer and provide strategic financial leadership across the organisation. The successful incumbent will assume responsibility for the overall accounting function, ensuring compliance with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements, strengthening financial governance and internal controls, and delivering accurate, timely financial information to support strategic decision-making. Working closely with executive leadership, the Head of Accounting will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence, optimising accounting processes, mitigating financial risk, and contributing to the achievement of the organisation's long-term business objectives. Detail: Requirements : Chartered Accountant CA(SA) or BCom Accounting Honours Degree with completed articles Completed articles with strong financial reporting experience Minimum 5–7 years' experience in a financial accounting environment Experience in complex regulatory, audit, and financial reporting environments (preferred) In-depth knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles Strong financial reporting and analytical skills Strategic thinking and commercial acumen Ability to interpret complex financial information for executive decision-making Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities High level of integrity and sound business judgment Responsibilities: Lead and manage all financial accounting and reporting functions Prepare and submit FACTS reporting to the parent company Oversee Company and Group consolidated Annual Financial Statements Manage inventory accounting, costing, and financial controls Ensure the integrity of management accounting information Oversee Accounts Payable operations Ensure compliance with IFRS Accounting Guidelines Manage APDP accounting, Production Incentive (PI) claims, and EUR1 calculations Oversee Automotive Investment Scheme (AIS) applications and claims Liaise with Group Accounting, external auditors, government stakeholders, and benefit fund administrators Develop and improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures Provide strategic financial leadership and business advisory support Mitigate financial and reputational risk Support governance and compliance initiatives Please note that if you do not receive a response within 2 weeks, your application has been unsuccessful. show more...
