This opportunity is ideal for a professional Guide with strong leadership abilities, excellent guest engagement skills, and a genuine passion for conservation and the African bush. The successful Head Guide will be responsible for overseeing all guiding activities, ensuring that game drives, guided walks, and guest interactions are conducted to the highest standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can mentor and develop guide teams while maintaining operational excellence and creating memorable safari experiences for guests from around the world. Working within one of South Africa's premier Big 5 destinations, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing guiding standards, vehicle and equipment care, guide training programmes, and guest satisfaction. The position requires a strong understanding of wildlife ecology, conservation, safety procedures, and luxury hospitality standards. The ability to inspire and motivate a team while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail is essential. This opportunity is suited to an individual who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with active guiding duties in the field. The successful candidate will work closely with lodge management and operational departments to ensure a seamless guest experience while promoting conservation awareness and responsible tourism practices.
