- A prestigious private estate is seeking an experienced and dedicated Estate Garden Manager to lead the upkeep and operations of all external grounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of all gardens, grounds, and outside estate areas.
- Direct, lead, and supervise an established team of 14 garden staff.
- Manage water resource systems, irrigation, and overall property water management.
- Coordinate and oversee all external maintenance activities, ensuring the highest standards across the entire exterior property excluding interior residential maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior horticultural, estate management, or head gardener role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of directing ground staff.
- Comprehensive knowledge of South African flora, landscaping, and exterior property maintenance.
- Solid experience in water management and irrigation systems.
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication abilities.
