A leading organisation in the FMCG environment is seeking a qualified Head of Financial Accounting to oversee the full finance function across multiple entities.
Minimum Requirements
- BCom degree or equivalent (SAICA/SAIPA Articles advantageous)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS; GAAP beneficial)
- Proficient in Evolution or similar accounting systems
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Fluent in English with excellent communication abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Full financial management, including preparation of consolidated financials
- Cash flow reporting, forecasting, and budget coordination
- Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and statutory regulations
- Lead audit processes and manage internal controls
- Analyse financial performance and drive variance reporting
- Review and approve reconciliations and payments
- Liaise with banks, SARS, external auditors, and key stakeholders
- Manage a finance team of 10+, including a dedicated creditors function
- Drive performance management, coaching, and development initiatives
This role is suited for a results-driven finance professional with a strong corporate finance background and leadership capability.
