Start free — we apply for you →Grade 12 Certificate HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT) Certificate Certificate of competence in rapid finger-prick testing Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification 1–2 years’ experience in research, clinical, or community health environment Knowledge of HIV prevention, including PrEP Knowledge of sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, TB, and STIs Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and data systems) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Fluency in English and/or Afrikaans and/or isiXhosa Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Strong administrative and organisational skills Maintain confidentiality Client focused and detail-orientated Advantageous: Experience in HIV prevention programmes or PrEP delivery Experience in community mobilisation and outreach Experience in community-based or mobile health services Experience in participant recruitment and retention Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, client-centred HIV counselling and testing services in accordance with national and provincial guidelines Deliver accurate, comprehensive, and client-appropriate education on HIV prevention options, including oral PrEP and long-acting injectable PrEP (lenacapavir), to support informed decision-making Conduct rapid HIV and pregnancy testing, ensure appropriate post-test counselling, and facilitate referral and linkage to care where required Support participant recruitment, screening, and informed consent processes in line with programme and protocol requirements Facilitate demand creation and community engagement activities in collaboration with peer navigators to enhance programme uptake Provide individual and group-based education on HIV, ART, PrEP, and PEP, including risk reduction and adherence counselling Support participant retention through active follow-up, appointment tracking, and tracing of missed visits Assist in tracking and monitoring participants enrolled in the programme to ensure continuity of care and achievement of retention targets Ensure accurate, complete, and timely administration of questionnaires and capture of study data using electronic systems and mobile applications Maintain high standards of data quality through routine checks, accurate documentation, and timely reporting Compile and contribute to weekly and monthly reports on recruitment, enrolment, and retention performance Support community-based activities, including outreach and surveys, to strengthen programme reach and engagement Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all ethical, regulatory, and data protection requirements Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team across facility, community, and mobile service delivery platforms Support overall programme targets through effective implementation of recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies Additional Requirements: Willingness to work across facility, community, and mobile service platforms Willingness to travel to designated implementation sites Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends Values fit: Passion | Innovation | Progress | Integrity | Respect | Excellence Submit a detailed cover letter, updated CV with certified copy of highest qualification and details of two (2) current contactable referees by 14 July 2026.
