Large retailer specialising in Building and Hardware materials is seeking to hire a Retail Operations Manager to cover the Namibia region. Based in Windhoek, the incumbent is responsible for growing Retail and DC Sales though providing comprehensive business consulting services to all stores in the region. Must have Financial acumen, Excel reporting, self-starter-efficiency, leadership skills, attention to detail and be due date driven. Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a Namibian resident/citizen
- Own reliable vehicle
- BCom in Business Management or Financial Management
- Ability to assess business financial reports and to advise Retailers on business profitability and growth
- Min 5 years in Senior Management experience
- Sound knowledge of hardware and building material products, understanding
- Understanding of the building material and hardware retail environment and small business challenges
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint
- Financial acumen, Excel reporting, self-starter-efficiency, leadership skills, attention to detail and due date driven
- Ability to engage at a high business level to inspire entrepreneurs within a corporate structure
Duties Included
- Build and maintain relationships with regional Retailers, business owners, staff, and corporate team members
- Ensure stores adhere to minimum format and CI specifications (the process of collecting, combining, and analyzing data about shoppers to understand their behavior, preferences, and motivation)
- Assist stores to grow market share and profitability by advising retailers on modern and opposition retail trends in the hardware industry
- Measure Retailer business performance and provide advice for improvement
- Analysis and interpretation of financial results
- Prepare business growth plans for retail stores
- Conduct regular store audits through structured store visits and the circulation of written reports to retailers, regional and national office, where appropriate
- Maintain high standards of excellence scores
- Stimulate synergies amongst retailers and team members
Package & Remuneration
R 850 000 - Annually plus Medical aid, pension, petrol card
