Handyman – Construction Department

We are looking for a skilled, hands-on, and reliable Handyman to join our Construction Department. The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance and repair experience across residential, commercial, or farm environments and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. 
 Minimum Requirements 
 
 • Matric (Grade 12)
 • Trade certification in plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, or related trade will be advantageous
 • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Worker
 • Strong experience in:
 
 • Plumbing
 • Basic electrical work
 • Carpentry
 • Painting
 • Tiling
 • General building repairs and maintenance
 

 • Comfortable working at heights and using ladders
 • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
 • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
 • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
 • Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required
 • Good health and physically fit
 • Strong safety awareness
 • Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented
 • Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
 • Willing to travel to other company sites
 
 Key Responsibilities 
 
 • Perform general repairs, maintenance, and installation work on buildings, equipment, and machinery
 • Conduct inspections and fault-finding to identify maintenance issues
 • Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs
 • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
 • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently
 • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
 • Assist with general construction and maintenance projects as required
