Introduction

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Groups Reservationist to join a prestigious luxury hotel environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing individual and group/block reservations, ensuring bookings are processed accurately and efficiently, while providing professional service to guests, agents and internal departments.

Please note that only Cape Town based candidates will be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process and respond to all reservation requests quickly and accurately
  • Manage individual and group/block reservations and confirmations
  • Check reservations received from the Central Reservation Office and send correspondence where required
  • Set up group contracts and invoices
  • Ensure deposits, contracts, confirmations and terms and conditions are received and processed timeously
  • Maintain accurate guest, agent and company profiles on INFOR
  • Manage room-type overbookings proactively to prevent hotel overbooking
  • Ensure effective communication between Reservations and operational departments
  • Assist Sales & Marketing with promoting and selling hotel facilities to prospective guests
  • Handle guest queries professionally and efficiently
  • Monitor industry trends and make recommendations to improve hotel occupancy

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in individual and group/block reservations
  • INFOR Group/Block Reservations experience is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with INFOR Front Office and Cashiering functions will be advantageous
  • Experience setting up group contracts and invoices
  • Good understanding of Revenue Control and Yield Management
  • Front Office, NQ Level 2 or relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
