Nutun is looking for an experienced Group Tax Manager to take ownership of the Group’s tax positions and provide strategic, commercially focused tax advice across a complex, evolving business environment.

This is an opportunity for a technically strong tax professional who can operate beyond compliance and partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury, Payroll, Operations and Procurement to identify opportunities, manage risk and support sustainable business growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

What you’ll be responsible for

• Leading Group tax strategy, governance, compliance and reporting

• Providing tax advisory support on corporate structures, transactions and commercial contracts

• Managing international tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax and cross-border matters

• Advising on funding structures and cash repatriation

• Leading tax authority audits, queries, objections and disputes

• Managing external tax advisers and providing independent technical recommendations

• Driving improvements in tax processes, controls, automation and reporting

Desired Experience & Qualification

What we’re looking for

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or Law

✔ Postgraduate tax qualification or equivalent specialist accreditation

✔ 5+ years’ relevant tax experience, ideally including in-house multinational exposure

✔ Strong knowledge of South African corporate tax and international tax principles

✔ Experience across VAT/indirect tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax and tax governance

✔ Strong commercial, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills

✔ The confidence to provide clear recommendations and influence senior stakeholders
