Group Property Manager

Minimum Qualifications - Diploma or Degree in Property Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, or a related field. - Trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or Building) is highly advantageous. - Project Management qualification is advantageous. - Valid South African driver's licence (essential). Experience Required - Minimum of 710 years' experience in property, facilities, or maintenance management. - At least 35 years' experience managing multiple hospitality properties, hotels, lodges, or resorts. - Proven experience overseeing preventative maintenance programmes and capital projects. - Strong background in building maintenance, infrastructure, and facilities management. - Experience managing maintenance teams and external contractors. - Demonstrated experience managing maintenance and CAPEX budgets. Knowledge & Skills - Extensive knowledge of hotel, lodge, or resort maintenance operations. - Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, generators, water treatment plants, and building infrastructure. - Knowledge of preventative maintenance planning and asset management. - Excellent project management and contractor management skills. - Strong financial acumen with experience managing operational and capital budgets. - Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation, fire regulations, and building compliance requirements. - Strong leadership and people management skills. - Excellent negotiation and supplier management abilities. - Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and maintenance management software (CMMS). - Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
