- To lead the development, implementation and ongoing review of Group-wide pharmaceutical policies, standards, protocols and quality assurance frameworks across Clinix Health Group.
- The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical legislation, regulatory requirements and Good Pharmacy Practice standards, while driving quality improvement initiatives, conducting audits, facilitating stakeholder engagement and supporting the delivery of safe, effective and compliant pharmaceutical services across all hospitals.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy B Pharm.
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council SAPC.
Minimum Experience
- 5 to 7 years' Post Community Service experience.
- Experience within a pharmaceutical policy, quality assurance or regulatory compliance environment .
- At least 1 year experience as Responsible Pharmacist
- Proficient in SAP
Advantageous
- Management qualification.
- Experience within the private hospital pharmacy environment.
- Exposure to policy development, quality audits and project management.

DELIVERABLES
- Develop, review, align and implement pharmaceutical policies, standards, protocols and Standard Operating Procedures SOPs across the Group.
- Ensure pharmaceutical services remain compliant with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements and Good Pharmacy Practice standards.
- Conduct pharmacy audits and compliance assessments across Clinix Health Group facilities and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of Quality Improvement Plans arising from audit findings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality and operational effectiveness within pharmaceutical services.
- Collaborate with Responsible Pharmacists, Hospital Managers and relevant stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of Group Pharmaceutical Services
- Coordinate and facilitate training programmes on pharmaceutical policies, standards, quality requirements and legislative updates.
- Support the induction and onboarding of Responsible Pharmacists and key pharmacy personnel.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on pharmaceutical quality assurance, regulatory matters and policy interpretation.
- Participate in and support strategic and operational pharmaceutical projects across the Group.
- Identify opportunities for pharmaceutical systems enhancements and support implementation of approved system changes.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with regulatory bodies, healthcare stakeholders, external partners and industry forums under the guidance of the Head of Pharmaceutical Services.
- Prepare monthly management reports, compliance reports and governance submissions.
- Monitor risks, escalate compliance concerns and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure effective communication and reporting to Head of Pharmaceutical Services, hospital leadership and relevant governance committees.
- Support cost efficiencies through process improvement, waste reduction and effective risk management practices.
