We are seeking a commercially minded Group Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and controls across the business. This position offers an opportunity to partner with operational stakeholders, contribute to financial planning activities, and provide meaningful insights that drive business performance and continuous improvement. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver financial analysis and insights to support informed business decision-making.
- Review monthly financial performance, identify key trends, and provide variance analysis.
- Monitor balance sheet integrity, working capital, and financial risk indicators.
- Provide oversight of capital expenditure, inventory, and key financial controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, statutory requirements, and governance frameworks.
- Assist with audits, financial reporting, and year-end processes.
- Drive process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
- Collaborate with operational and management teams to enhance profitability, efficiency, and business performance.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification. • Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles will be advantageous. • 3-5 years' relevant accounting and financial reporting experience. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience essential). • Manufacturing or FMCG experience preferred.
