Duties & Responsibilities

Operate grinding machines, angle grinders, and related equipment safely and efficiently.

Grind, deburr, smooth, and finish metal parts to required specifications.

Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.

Inspect finished components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.

Measure workpieces using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Maintain grinding equipment and perform basic preventative maintenance.

Identify defects and report quality concerns to the supervisor.

Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Keep work areas clean and organized according to housekeeping standards.

Assist with general production activities when required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

Education

Grade 12 / Matric (preferred).

Experience

Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a grinding or metal fabrication environment.

Experience working with steel, stainless steel, or other metal components.

Experience using hand and power tools.

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Knowledge of grinding techniques and metal finishing processes.

Familiarity with measuring equipment and quality control standards.

Good attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift and handle materials within company safety limits.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
