- Support the Finance Team in reviewing and verifying implementing partners' monthly financial transactions.
- Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and donor requirements.
- Ensure transactions and supporting documentation comply with donor rules, organisational policies, and financial procedures.
- Assist with the processing and review of monthly grant disbursements.
- Conduct financial compliance assessments and follow up on identified issues.
- Provide accounting and financial management support to implementing partners.
- Assist partners with budget preparation, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Provide capacity development and guidance to implementing partners on accounting processes, financial controls, and compliance.
- Review financial reports and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Support the Finance Team with reconciliations, reporting, and other accounting activities as required.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure appropriate documentation is retained.
- Contribute to strengthening financial controls and improving grant financial management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 3 years' experience in an accounting or finance position.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and principles.
- Good knowledge of Balance Sheets and Income Statements.
- Experience with the full accounting cycle, from accounts processing through to preparation of financial statements.
- Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems.
- NETSUITE experience will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of financial controls, compliance, and budget monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with implementing partners and internal teams.
