Our client is a specialist credit solutions provider in South Africa with an international network, enabling them to offer global solutions. They support large and medium-sized businesses across multiple sectors by mitigating credit-related risks through credit vetting and credit management solutions.

Their services include credit insurance advisory, debt collection, credit risk management software, investment management, guarantees and bonding, and credit insurance gap and top-up cover.

About the Graduate Programme

Our client is offering a structured 12-month development programme for recently qualified BCom graduates who are interested in building a career within financial services and credit risk management.

The programme provides practical workplace experience, exposure to different areas of the business, and opportunities to develop commercial, analytical, communication and relationship-management skills.

Graduates will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects and receive ongoing training, coaching and mentorship. High-performing graduates may be considered for permanent opportunities, subject to performance and business requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities within the allocated department.

• Participate in departmental projects and broader business initiatives.

• Conduct research, collect information and assist with data analysis.

• Prepare reports, presentations and business documentation.

• Support internal and client meetings where appropriate.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Provide administrative and operational support to the relevant team.

• Develop an understanding of the company’s products, services, systems and processes.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute ideas.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver work within agreed deadlines.

• Participate actively in training, coaching and development activities.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across different areas of the business.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• A completed BCom degree before the programme commences.

• A strong academic record.

• South African citizenship or the appropriate legal right to work in South Africa.

• Computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong numerical and analytical ability.

• No previous full-time work experience is required.

Advantageous

• A BCom Honours degree or relevant postgraduate qualification.

• Majors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Risk Management, Marketing or a related field.

• Previous internship, vacation work or part-time work experience.

• Exposure to financial services, insurance, credit or risk management.
