GRADUATE Process Engineer
Description
As a Process Engineer - Quality Assurance on a fixed-term contract, you will coordinate and execute the process engineering function across water and wastewater facilities.
Key accountabilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, modernising standard operating procedures, rectifying and standardising data, optimising process performance and supporting audit and reporting activities across multiple treatment sites.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed understanding of contractual requirements related to process and operations.
- Assist with site preparations, document gathering and data summarisation for annual Blue/Green Drop audits and consultant reports.
- Evaluate and optimise dosing regimes per site to improve efficiencies and maintain overall quality.
- Gather and document actual dosing rates per area for all processes and maintain accurate records.
- Review and update operational templates such as logbooks, site inspection sheets and daily reporting metrics.
- Assist with uploading and archiving all sites' daily analytical results into the relevant systems.
- Ensure weekly jar testing protocols are conducted and documented across all relevant sites.
- Review, develop and improve SOPs to ensure contractual compliance and alignment with best practice.
- Prepare and deliver training on standardised operating procedures to operational staff to ensure a safe working environment and consistent practice.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, root-cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Support audit and reporting activities, responding to findings and implementing corrective measures.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in water/wastewater treatment is an advantage.
- Experience in process engineering, water or wastewater operations, or quality assurance in an industrial or municipal environment.
- Demonstrated experience with SOP development, audit preparation and dosing optimisation.
- Familiarity with Blue Drop/Green Drop or similar regulatory audit frameworks is desirable.
