This 24-month graduate internship programme for aspiring financial advisors commences in February. The purpose of the role is to equip graduates to provide professional financial advice to clients as accredited PPS representatives. The incumbent will be appointed as advice representative and recorded on the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) representative register. The successful candidate will source and engage prospective clients, build trusted relationships, conduct needs-based analysis, and recommend appropriate PPS financial solutions aligned with each client’s needs and financial goals.
Successful completion of the programme will provide a pathway to a career as a commission-earning financial adviser. The role will focus on long-term insurance, wills, and investments, serving the postgraduate and professional market and helping clients protect and achieve their financial goals and build long-term wealth.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and generate prospective client leads.
- Contact prospective clients through outbound and cold-calling activities.
- Build a professional network and a sustainable business within the graduate professional market, both in person and through social media.
- Meet with prospective clients in person and virtually.
- Prepare and present tailored proposals and financial solutions to prospective clients.
- Manage prospective client onboarding and provide ongoing after-sales support.
- Provide and implement suitable financial advice that meets the needs and requirements of graduate professionals.
- Organise small worksite marketing events at client offices.
- Develop and grow a sustainable personal client portfolio.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Non-negotiable: A completed NQF Level 7 qualification, equivalent to a bachelor’s degree, Bachelor of Technology, or advanced diploma in South Africa.
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold a postgraduate diploma or honours qualification in Financial Planning.
Experience
- No previous work experience is required, as this is a graduate opportunity.

Only South African citizens who are under the age of 34 and who hold , or will complete during 2026 , an NQF Level 7 or higher qualification will be considered. Please note that a foreign qualification must be accompanied by a SAQA Certificate of Evaluation (SCoE).
