The Financial Manager will take ownership of the group's financial function at a time of increasing complexity in the business. Over the next 12-24 months the group is considering a restructuring of the trust holdings, alongside a pipeline of capital expenditure (Capex) projects. The Financial Manager will be a key advisor to the Trustees and General Manager through both processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping, management accounts and financial reporting for the group's trusts and entities on Pastel. Oversee payroll processing on Sage. Manage inter-entity loan accounts and cash flow across the group's trusts and related parties. Liaise with the group's external accountants/auditors on annual financial statements, tax and compliance matters. Support the Trustees through the proposed restructuring of the trust holdings, including the in specie transfer of selected properties into company. Assess the feasibility of proposed Capex projects, including financial modelling, return on investment (ROI) analysis and opportunity cost considerations, and make recommendations to the Trustees, while supporting the Project Manager through budgeting and cost-accounting. Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to the Trustees and General Manager to support decision-making. Oversee the group's office IT requirements, acting as the primary liaison with IT service providers across telecoms, systems and data storage. Contribute to the evaluation and potential implementation of an ERP system, aimed at improving control over the group's two largest expense categories: employee costs and maintenance.
