Minimum requirements for the role

  • Must have a National Senior Certificate; A relevant post-matric qualification (B. Agric. or B. Sc. Agric. Degree)
  • Minimum 1-2 years' working experience with exposure to trials
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills
  • Report‑writing proficiency
  • Fully computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The successful candidate will be responsible for

• Receiving product training on herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, adjuvants, nutrition and biologicals. • Participating in research farm activities, including product application, measurement and reporting. • Participating in product development through field trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. • Gaining exposure to product formulation processes within the Research and Development Laboratory. • Gaining exposure to quality control procedures in the Quality Control Laboratory. • Gaining exposure to production processes of various plant health products. • Gaining exposure to the Emerging Farmer Initiative. • Gaining exposure to depot operations and associated duties. • Conducting research, data analysis and professional report-writing. • Assisting with technical support and sales duties as delegated by the Technical Advisor and Regional Sales Manager. • Completing formal training modules throughout the programme.
