Our client is looking for an organised and detail-focused GRV Clerk to join their Procurement Department in Olifantsfontein. This is a varied role combining GRV processing, procurement administration, supplier follow-up and logistics coordination within a manufacturing and fabrication environment. If you have strong administrative skills, understand the importance of accurate stock and purchasing records, and enjoy working across procurement, stores, finance and logistics, this could be an excellent opportunity.
About the Role
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely processing of Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) and supporting documentation. You will also assist the Procurement team with purchasing workshop consumables, following up with suppliers, expediting deliveries and coordinating company drivers and collections. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
GRV & Inventory Administration
- Receive and verify delivery notes, waybills and packing lists against approved purchase orders
- Create, verify and process GRVs accurately on the ERP/inventory system
- Identify and resolve quantity, quality and documentation discrepancies
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical GRV records
- Ensure delivery notes, job cards and supporting documentation are correctly filed
- Assist with stocktakes, audits and GRV-related queries
- Monitor outstanding or unmatched receipts and escalate unresolved discrepancies
Procurement Support
- Purchase low-value workshop consumables and operational items
- Obtain supplier quotations where required
- Follow up with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries and lead times
- Assist buyers with procurement administration and expediting
- Liaise with suppliers regarding shortages, collections and documentation
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate company drivers, collections and delivery schedules
- Arrange urgent supplier collections and deliveries
- Ensure transport and delivery documentation is completed correctly
- Maintain accurate logistics and transport records
- Liaise with internal departments to keep deliveries running smoothly
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate / Matric
- 3–5 years' experience in GRV processing, procurement administration, inventory/warehouse administration or accounts payable support
- Working knowledge of MS Excel
- Exposure to ERP and inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy
- Good communication and supplier liaison skills
- Ability to work effectively across Procurement, Stores, Finance and Logistics
Advantageous
- Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting or Business Administration
- Basic bookkeeping/accounting knowledge
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or fabrication environment
