Golang Developer
Contract 12 months | Cape Town | Hybrid
Join a high-performing technology team working on scalable backend services and APIs within a large, complex technology environment. Duties & Responsibilities
This is an opportunity for an experienced Golang Developer to contribute to robust solutions, integrations and services while working with modern cloud and development technologies.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong commercial experience with Go / Golang
- Solid understanding of goroutines, channels, Go modules and Go tooling
- Experience developing and maintaining backend services and APIs
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Experience writing unit, integration and performance tests
- Strong SQL and/or NoSQL database experience
- Experience with database optimisation
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong Git experience
- Understanding of secure coding practices
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
