- The EUC Asset Analyst is a subject matter expert supporting the central management, governance, and reporting of End User Computing assets across a multi-regional global IT environment.
- The Asset Analyst acts as a central governance point for EUC asset data quality, process compliance, reporting, and audit readiness, by establishing and maintaining global standards for EUC asset data in the CMDB, ensuring that regional IT teams follow agreed processes and keep asset records accurate as part of their daily BAU activities.
- The Asset Analyst conducts presentations to educate and train regional EUC Teams on the use of the configuration process, and regular audits to make sure that those processes are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, maintain and communicate global standards for EUC asset data in the Asset Module and align CMDB.
- Establish mandatory data fields, naming conventions, ownership rules, lifecycle status definitions, and update requirements.
- Ensure consistent HAM/CMDB practices across all regions and countries.
- Maintain and govern the Hardware Asset Module, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all EUC-related records and the alignment of the CI's in CMDB
- Maintain documentation, work instructions, and process guides for EUC asset data management.
- Work closely with regional IT, EUC support to ensure they correctly update asset records during procurement, deployment, assignment, transfer, return, repair, refresh, and disposal.
- Monitor adherence to global asset management processes and escalate recurring non-compliance.
- Support regional teams with guidance, training, and clarification on HAM and CMDB update rules.
- Promote consistent data quality across all regions
- Lead strategic initiatives to improve asset data quality and participate in the evaluation of existing configuration management systems and the design, implementation and management of new / improved systems for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to extract, analyze, and report on asset data, supporting operational and strategic decision-making.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to configuration and asset management policies.
- Monthly EUC Asset reports to Senior Leadership Including EOL, new assets added, old asset removals, assets by support team, and more
- Works on strategic projects to ensure all Configuration Items are correctly defined and created via asset module.
- Perform any other related task as required.
Knowledge and Attributes
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to interpret complex IT processes and policies.
- Proficiency in ITIL-based configuration and asset management practices.
- Experience with CMDB tools e.g., ServiceNow and server monitoring platforms e.g., SolarWinds.
- Ability to work collaboratively across global, multicultural teams.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding IT infrastructure and its role in enabling business objectives.
- Seasoned analytical and reasoning skills.
- Seasoned ability to interpret complex processes and policies.
