Geometric Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Geometric Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. This opportunity is suited to an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in geometric design and a passion for delivering practical, high-quality transport infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• 4–10 years’ experience in geometric design.

• Must be registered with ECSA as a Candidate or Professional Engineer/ Technologist.

• Strong understanding of road and transportation infrastructure design principles.

• Experience with relevant geometric design software and engineering tools.

• Knowledge of applicable South African road design standards and guidelines.

• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.

• Education: BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering or a related qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review geometric designs for roads and transportation infrastructure.

• Prepare technical reports, design drawings, and project documentation.

• Conduct geometric design assessments and identify practical engineering solutions.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.

• Ensure designs comply with relevant South African standards, specifications, and guidelines.

• Support projects through the various stages of design and delivery.

• Review technical work and provide engineering input where required.
