To obtain experiential learning through a structured 24 month programme. This opportunity will afford a graduate exposure to the working world whilst earning regulated benefits as per the discretionary grant funding policy of the MQA. These include an all-inclusive stipend and basic medical aid cover.
Duties & Responsibilities
Daily Pit and ROM sampling for ore quality monitoring.
Sampling data compilation for interpretation and ore management.
Percussion drill chips logging and sampling during planned exploration programs.
Assist Site Geologist with laboratory activities ore quality monitoring and reconciliation.
Conduct quality control and quality assurance at the lab for the suitability of product in accordance with the specifications.
Conduct site compliance audit to relevant IMERYS protocols and legislative requirements.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12
BSc Degree or Diploma in Geology
Minimum basic level competency in excel, word & powerpoint
No previous internship contract/experience.
Must be unemployed. (MQA requirement)
Historically disadvantaged South African. (MQA requirement)
Good Communication skills
Proactive and adaptable team player
Willingness to continuous learning
