Generative AI Platform Lead, Gauteng, R1.8m pa

Introduction

A great opportunity is here for a lead engineer to work on a global Self-Service Platform that enables an entire company to leverage the power of Generative AI combined with other tools and technologies to automate daily tasks and workflows.

You will own the delivery of the platform initiatives end-to-end; define scope, roadmap, and success metrics; lead Agile execution across multiple teams and streams.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Own delivery of platform initiatives end-to-end

• Define scope, roadmap, and success metrics

• Lead Agile execution across multiple teams and streams

• Align business stakeholders and technical teams

• Manage risks, dependencies, and escalations proactively Ensure delivery within time, budget, and quality targets

• Drive adoption and scaling of AI solutions across hubs

• Provide transparency via metrics, reporting, and dashboards Enable continuous improvement through data and feedback loops Support strategic initiatives and contribute to AI roadmap

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering (or equivalent)

• 8+ years experience in software delivery / platform roles

• Proven experience leading cross-functional Agile teams

• Experience in DevOps, cloud, or AI-related environments Track record of delivering complex global IT solutions

• Strong stakeholder management across business and IT End-to-end delivery management (scope, budget, timelines) Agile leadership (Scrum, SAFe, multi-team coordination)

• Experience in AI / GenAI / DevOps environments

• Ability to define and manage requirements and use cases Risk, dependency, and issue management

• Data-driven decision-making and reporting

Package & Remuneration

R120k to R150k pm
