•Divot filling on grass track.
•Checks to make sure that there are no objects on the track.
•Resodding of the track.
•Using the stamper to close holes.
•Checks rail fittings to ensure that they are not loose.
•Responsible for track repairs.
•Painting post and rail fences.
•Responsible for raking as required.
•Responsible for sweeping and clearing drains.
•Digs trenches with the required tools, i.e. spades, etc.
•Responsible for washing of post, rail fence and walls prior to painting.
•Responsible for weeding on road verges, tracks etc.
•Performs a wide variety of general and semi-skilled maintenance activities and repairs.
•Responsible for cleaning equipment and tools and ensuring that all equipment and tools are securely and safely stored.
•Assists with transport of variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at a job site.
•Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient way in accordance with health and safety regulations.
•Any other such duties that may be required.
What You’ll Need
•Standard 8/ Grade 10/ Equivalent (advantageous).
•Must be able and physically fit (required).
•At least one (1) year experience in a similar role.
•A clear criminal record.

•Knowledge of the racetrack, landscaping and/ or farming (advantageous).
•Literacy and good communication skills.
•Customer care orientation with sober habits.
•An energetic individual who is able to understand and follow instructions.
•A meticulous individual with a good eye for detail.
•Reliable, honest, trustworthy with good time keeping.
•Reliable transport to enable him/ her to travel to and from work.
•Flexible with the adaptability to multitask.
•Collaborates effectively within a team environment, fostering a cooperative spirit.
•Be available work flexible hours including weekends, Sundays, Public Holidays, day-and-night racing.
•A clear criminal record.
