Assist with asbestos-removal activities under the direction of the appointed supervisor and authorised personnel.
Removing asbestos from the ceilings of older buildings
Work safely on rooftops and around elevated work areas.
Assist with the handling and removal of materials as instructed.
Follow all prescribed health, safety and environmental procedures.
Wear and correctly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work effectively as part of a team.
Follow instructions from the site supervisor and project management.
Report any unsafe conditions, incidents or hazards immediately.
Comply with all site-specific asbestos and hazardous-material control procedures.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Valid Working at Heights Certificate – essential.
Proven previous experience working on rooftops – essential.
Previous experience in construction, maintenance, roofing, hazardous-material environments or similar work will be advantageous.
Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
Able to work safely at heights and comply with all safety requirements.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable and punctual with a good attendance record.
Sober habits are essential and have no history of excessive absenteeism.
Must be respectful, humble, professional and able to work well with supervisors and colleagues.
Must be willing to follow instructions and adhere strictly to company and site procedures.
