PURPOSE An exciting opportunity exists at Fraser Alexander DRC, based at the Kamoa site, to ensure that all operational targets and contractual obligations are met on time and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining excellent housekeeping practices and driving operational excellence within your designated area. RESPONSIBILITIES Operations Punctual adherence to site-specific time schedules and shift handovers. Conduct daily risk assessments. Perform valve operations, including opening and closing valves and deposition open ends. Conduct penstock operations according to standards, including packing and wall dressing, as well as closing holes and gullies at the dam. Number valve stations, apply colour coding to plant equipment, position floodlights, and deposit tailings according to instructions and required standards. Take density measurements and collect samples, ensuring that all relevant information is recorded accurately. Perform any other related duties as assigned by a person in authority. Health and Safety Wear the correct PPE for each specific task. Attend daily safety talks. Report unsafe acts and conditions. Follow written and verbal safe work procedures. Ensure emergency preparedness at all times. Basic Inspections Report all defects related to pump stations, leaks, and spillages. Conduct inspections of pressure gauges. Housekeeping Practice good housekeeping around all pumps and valves. Timekeeping Accurate reporting of personal timekeeping.
