- TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: General Worker within the Timber division at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.
Job Summary
- This role involves performing general maintenance tasks across the nursery property, including garden upkeep, grass cutting, repairing infrastructure, handling equipment, and assisting with loading and offloading. The position requires hands-on, practical work and the ability to operate machinery such as a tractor.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Cutting grass and maintaining all lawn and garden areas
- Cleaning and tidying gardens, pathways, and work areas
- Spraying herbicides, pesticides, or other chemicals safely and correctly
- Repairing and maintaining pipes, irrigation systems, tables, nets, and general infrastructure
- Operating and driving a tractor and other basic maintenance equipment
- Loading and offloading trucks and assisting with material handling
- Performing general maintenance and upkeep tasks as directed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are cleaned, stored, and used responsibly
Qualifications and Skills
- Matric / Grade12
- Tractor driving experience
- Previous experience in manual labour
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, repairs, and garden equipment
- Ability to handle and apply chemicals safely
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong problem-solving and practical repair skills
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid Driver's License Code 10 with PDP advantageous
