General Worker - Retail Industry Support
Job Summary
Our client in the Retail sector is looking for a General Worker to join their team in JHB - Southern Suburbs on a Contractor basis. Reporting to Operation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency of the retail store while ensuring excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and checking deliveries.
- Load and offload stock safely.
- Move and transport stock within the store or warehouse.
- Pack and replenish products on shelves and displays.
- Ensure products are correctly labelled and displayed.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, stockroom, and work areas.
- Assist customers with basic queries and direct them to the appropriate staff member when required.
- Assist with merchandising and maintaining attractive product displays.
- Remove damaged, expired, or incorrectly placed products as instructed.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties.
- Follow all company health, safety procedures.
- Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have Grade12/Matric.
- Previous retail, warehouse, or general worker experience will be an advantage.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Good customer service attitude.
- Rate: R30.23 Per Hour
