Job Vacancy: General Worker
Type: Temporary Location: JHB - Jet Park - Eastern Suburbs Region: Gauteng
Job Purpose
The General Worker is responsible for supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of the warehouse by performing a variety of manual and operational tasks including receiving, handling storing , picking, packing , loading and housekeeping. The role ensures that goods are handled safely, accurately and in accordance with company procedure and health and safety standards
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming stock.
- Sort, label, and store goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
- Load and offload vehicles safely.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory movement.
- Perform stock counts and assist with stocktakes.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the warehouse.
- Report damaged stock, shortages, or safety hazards.
- Assist with wrapping, palletising, and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Follow company policies and health regulations.
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Clean criminal record.
- Good communication skills.
- 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
