General Worker - Multi-Skilled Construction & Landscaping

We are looking for a reliable, experienced and hands-on General Worker to join our team.

The successful candidate will be involved in construction, landscaping, waterproofing, paving, painting and general property improvement projects.

We are looking for someone who is practical, hardworking, physically capable and takes pride in producing neat, quality workmanship. The ability to work independently, follow instructions and work well as part of a team is essential.

Required Skills & Experience

The candidate should have practical experience in several of the following areas:

• General construction – building, plastering etc.

• Paving – preparation, excavation, base construction, laying, levelling, cutting and finishing.

• Waterproofing – surface preparation, repairs and application of waterproofing products.

• Painting & finishing – preparation, painting and general finishing work.

• Landscaping & property maintenance – general site preparation, clean-up and maintenance.

• Roofing experience will be advantageous.

The candidate must be comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment, including compactors, grinders, drills and other site equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and follow job specifications, instructions and site requirements.

• Carry out construction, paving, waterproofing, painting and landscaping work as required.

• Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment.

• Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas.

• Complete assigned work efficiently and to a high standard.

• Identify potential problems on site and report them to the supervisor.

• Follow all company health and safety requirements and site procedures.

• Work professionally and respectfully with colleagues, supervisors and clients.

• Be willing to travel to different project sites.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' relevant practical experience in construction, landscaping or related work.

• Experience using construction tools and equipment.

• Good practical and problem-solving ability.

• Physically fit and able to perform manual work safely.

• Able to communicate effectively in English.

• Reliable, punctual, disciplined and hardworking.

• Trustworthy, presentable and professional.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Must reside in the West Rand.
