General Worker

Introduction

This position is a general work position within a factory, which requires operating of automated machines through HMI (Human Machine Interface), performing basic machine setup including selection of production recipes, loading of raw materials, consumables and packaging materials. Duties also include cleaning of machines and factory, carrying / weighing and loading of raw materials, and material handling of a manual nature. Duties & Responsibilities

Job related activities include, but are not limited to

• ·        Material handling including releasing and depositing raw materials into hoppers, manually re-bagging product.
• ·        Loading of packaging material into machine and packing of finished product onto pallets.
• ·        Do basic machine setup, monitor machine performance and report any anomalies to supervisor.
• ·        Operating of fully and semi-automated machines to achieve optimum production output
• ·        Cleaning of machines and general housekeeping duties
• ·        Participating in Stock Taking activities
• ·        Follow and abide by all Health and Safety procedures and policies
• Ad hoc duties of a manual nature

Desired Experience & Qualification

The requirements and qualifications for this position include

• ·        Grade 12 / N4, or equivalent
• ·        Able to understands and operate fully automated machines from HMI
• ·        Be willing to work overtime when required
• ·        Honest and Reliable
• ·        Good Communication Skills
• ·        Ability to work in a team
• ·        Ability to follow instructions and authority.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple tasks.
