Location: Grabouw, Western Cape
Elgin Poultry Abattoir (Pty) Ltd. is seeking motivated and reliable General Workers to join our Poultry Abattoir operations in Grabouw. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are hardworking, committed to quality, and able to work effectively in a food production environment.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Key Responsibilities
Will iclude but not be limited to
- Assist with the processing and packaging of free-range poultry products.
- Perform duties according to departmental requirements, which may include:
- Dressing and trimming poultry products.
- Cutting products into portions.
- Deboning and filleting.
- Value-adding and preparation of raw materials.
- Issuing raw materials and packaging materials for production.
- Weighing and grading products.
- Cleaning and packaging poultry products.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Report any food safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- South African Identity Document.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid bank account.
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
- Good timekeeping and attendance record.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions in English or Afrikaans.
- Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Good personal hygiene and commitment to food safety standards.
- Willing and available to start work immediately.
