A significant opportunity exists for an experienced mining professional to take overall operational responsibility for a gold mining operation. This role requires a decisive and commercially astute leader who understands the realities of underground gold mining, including narrow-vein stoping, conventional mining and mechanised/TMM environments. The successful candidate will have the credibility to lead senior management, production teams and a large workforce while maintaining uncompromising standards of safety and operational performance. Duties & Responsibilities
- Mining Engineering Degree or equivalent recognised mining qualification
- MMCC & GCC(mine & works) essential
- Proven experience in a 4.1 appointment / General Manager of Mines capacity
- Extensive underground gold mining experience, preferably across conventional and mechanised operations
- Strong exposure to narrow-vein mining, stoping and TMM/mechanised mining, mine health and safety act sound knowledge.
- Proven ability to lead large mining operations, production teams and senior management
