- We are looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee the overall management, profitability, operational performance and strategic growth of the business.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production, sales, customer service, logistics, quality and financial objectives are achieved while maintaining strong operational standards and compliance.
- Experience within the glass manufacturing, glass processing, glazing, aluminium, construction materials or related industries will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the business.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor operational performance, KPIs and productivity.
- Manage budgets, expenses, margins and overall profitability.
- Drive sales growth and identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships.
- Oversee production planning, quality, stock control and turnaround times.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop management and supervisory teams.
- Manage employee performance, relations and development.
- Ensure compliance with labour, health and safety requirements.
- Identify and manage operational risks.
- Ensure company policies, procedures and quality standards are maintained.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years' management experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior management position.
- Proven experience managing large operational teams.
- Strong financial and commercial management experience.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Strategic planning and execution abilities.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Project management experience.
- Results-driven with strong accountability.
