International Tyre Company looking to appoint a General Manager based in the Gauteng Region.
This individual will be responsible for
- Planning and developing of SA Sales Team and related Support Team to achieve sales target.
- Develop sales strategies to enhance competitive position in the market.
- Monthly buying and monthly pricing policy.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Overall profitability of the Company.
- Handle sales to key customers to achieve sales target.
- Expansion of sales at optimal pricing level.
- Ensure right stock mix to meet sales target.
- Negotiate buying price and place monthly production order with suppliers.
- Take action to reduce YOM stock.
- Generate adequate collection to pay creditors and banks on maturity.
- Provide market information on competitor pricing and activities.
- Visit key customers to assess credit worthiness.
- Develop and implement monthly marketing plan.
- Submit monthly executive summary and MSOR to Singapore Management Team.
- Plan product training for in-house staff and customer.
- Control and ensure prompt collection of receivables.
- Ensure credit terms is strictly adhered.
- Monitor branch sales and collection.
- Ensure slow moving and non-moving are not more than 10% of stock level.
- Understand market needs and suppliers' product development.
- Place product order to meet sales target.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Must have over 15 years experience in the Tyre Industry, with atleast over 5 years as a senior manager in sales
- Must have PCR knowledge and experience
- Must have wholesale experience
- Qualification in Sales and Marketing
- Able to travel
- An expert in Excel
