Our client in the hospitality and gaming industry is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead its operation in eMalahleni.

This is a broad leadership role for someone who understands how the different parts of a business connect, from financial performance and operational delivery to people management, systems and customer experience.

You will take ownership of the overall operation, ensuring that teams work towards shared objectives, resources are used effectively and the business remains commercially sustainable. The ideal candidate is a decisive, hands-on leader who can think strategically, solve problems on the ground and turn business objectives into measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily business operations, ensuring productivity, profitability and consistent service delivery.

• Develop and oversee budgets, business plans and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve commercial results.

• Lead and develop teams across multiple functions, fostering accountability, collaboration and high performance.

• Implement operational policies, procedures and standards while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

• Oversee business systems, CRM platforms and administrative processes to improve efficiency and operational control.

• Identify and implement improvements across operations, customer experience, resource utilisation and overall business performance.

Minimum Requirements

• A relevant qualification would be advantageous; however, proven experience and leadership capability are key.

• At least 10 years’ experience in a General Management or senior operational leadership role.

• Broad experience across operations, finance, HR, IT and people management.

• Experience working with CRM platforms and operational business systems.

• Strong commercial acumen, financial management capabilities and an understanding of business performance.

• A hands-on leadership approach, with excellent decision-making, planning, organisational and people management skills.
