General Manager

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to take overall responsibility for the company’s day-to-day operations, profitability, operational performance and strategic growth. The successful candidate will oversee production, sales, customer service, logistics, quality, financial objectives, people management and compliance Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, quality and service delivery.

• Develop and implement operational strategies, KPIs and corrective actions.

• Manage budgets, expenses, margins, profitability and financial reporting.

• Drive sales, business development, customer relationships and market expansion.

• Oversee production planning and execution, including workflow, stock, waste, quality and turnaround times.

• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.

• Manage supervisors and operational teams, including performance, IR, training and succession planning.

• Ensure effective maintenance and management of assets and equipment.

• Maintain health, safety, quality, compliance and risk-management standards.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall business performance.

Requirements

• Degree/diploma in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field.

• 8–10 years’ management experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level.

• Experience managing large operational teams.

• Strong financial and commercial acumen.

• Proven experience with budgets, profitability and operational KPIs.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills.

• Experience in glass manufacturing, glass processing, glazing, aluminium, construction materials or a related industry will be highly advantageous.

• Proven ability to manage production/operations in a manufacturing environment.
