General Manager

Description

Our client is an industry-leading manufacturer and supplier specializing in high-performance glass and architectural aluminum solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced and decisive General Manager to oversee their extensive production facilities, optimize high-temperature manufacturing processes, and lead the company's strategic operational growth. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle factory and manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met.

• Manage and optimize heavy industrial processes, specifically overseeing furnace operations and high-temperature production environments.

• Drive the financial performance of the plant, including operational budgeting, cost-reduction initiatives, and resource allocation.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team across production, technical, and administrative departments.

• Enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, particularly those required for safe operation in hot manufacturing environments.

• Streamline supply chain, procurement, and inventory management for raw materials.

• Develop and execute strategic business plans to enhance operational efficiency and expand market footprint.

Requirements

• A relevant Degree or Diploma (e.g., in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related manufacturing field).

• Extensive leadership experience in a General Manager, Plant Manager, or Senior Operations role.

• Proven background and operational experience specifically within the glass and/or aluminum manufacturing sectors.

• Essential: Demonstrated experience managing furnaces and working within hot industrial environments.

• Exceptional strategic planning, financial acumen, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate large teams in a demanding industrial setting.
